Sunny weather greeted the team for the 59th edition of UCI 1.2 race - Paris Troyes.
Team rider Matthew Teggarts explains:
"Usually the race is decided my crosswinds with the big open roads in this part of France but today wasn't not so windy and the race was quite controlled by the bigger world tour teams like direct energy. A break of 4 guys went clear early on and the peloton slowly reeled them in as we hit the circuits with 2 decent hills each lap. With 4 laps to go the pace picked up as the break was caught and the attacks started. Our team was very aggressive and where present in all the moves.
A strong move of 10 slipped away with a lap and a half remaining containing our own Bas Tietema amongst others, with lots of teams represented. This move did not gain a huge advantage and was pulled back soon after.
Kasper attacked and got clear in a very strong move with 2 others but with one of the others puncturing it was hard to stay away from the depleted peloton chasing behind. He and his escapee was caught 10km to go and it came down to a bunch sprint but without Jonas in the first group we lacked a sprinter so weren't in contention for the gallop but the rest of the guys all rolled in comfortably within the front group."
